Disclaimer

FixUI is an independent, individually maintained project. This page sets out what that means for affiliation, accuracy, and your own responsibility when using it.
1. No affiliation
FixUI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Google LLC, Microsoft Corporation, Buy Me a Coffee, or any website that you choose to customize with it. “Chrome”, “Chrome Web Store”, and “Edge” are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the browsers the extension supports. All other product names, logos, and brands mentioned or visible in screenshots belong to their respective owners and are used purely for identification.
2. Cosmetic, local changes only
FixUI changes only how a page renders in your own browser. It does not alter anything on the website’s servers, does not affect what any other person sees, and does not modify any data held by that website. Hiding an element does not delete it; it stops it from rendering for you.
3. Do not present modified pages as authentic
Because FixUI can hide and restyle page content, a screenshot or recording of a customized page is not a faithful representation of that website. Do not present modified pages as genuine or unaltered — in evidence, journalism, disputes, financial or medical contexts, or anywhere else a reader would reasonably assume they were seeing the real page.
4. Do not hide what you need to see
You are responsible for what you choose to hide. Hiding prices, fees, expiry dates, safety warnings, consent notices, terms, error messages, or other consequential information may cause you to miss something that matters. FixUI deliberately refuses to hide html, head, and body, and requires explicit confirmation before hiding a broad container or an element holding a form or several interactive controls — but it cannot judge what is important to you. Use Pause to see any page in its original state.
5. No professional advice
The content on this website, including the documentation and the legal pages, is provided for general information only. It is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. The legal pages describe how the project operates; they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
6. Accuracy and availability
We aim to keep this website and its documentation accurate and current, but make no warranty that they are complete, error-free, or up to date with the latest release. Features described here may change. The site and the extension are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, as set out in the Terms of Service.
7. Heuristic matching
The element-matching engine is a scored heuristic, not a guarantee of correctness. It is deliberately built to report a rule as not found or needs repair rather than risk applying it to the wrong element — but no heuristic is perfect, and you should verify that a page looks the way you expect before relying on it.
8. External links
Links to external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or practices.
9. Limitation of liability
Your use of FixUI is at your own risk. The limitation of liability in section 10 of the Terms of Service applies in full to everything on this page.
